  Denver Infertility

Our team's reproductive endocrinologists, Dr. Trout and Dr. Smith, ensure that each patient receives the treatment that is right for them. Dr. Jonathan Van Blerkom operates CRE's IVF lab, which was named by US News and World Reports as one of the nation's top 10 laboratories dealing with advanced reproductive technologies. The remainder of our team assists with procedures, develops new treatments plans and plays an integral role in caring for and educating our patients.

CRE participates with a number of insurance plans. We encourage you to fully understand your benefits prior to initiating treatment so that you can make informed choices about the treatments recommended. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 303-321-7115.

Egg donation is a wonderful gift to give a couple struggling to have children. You have the unique opportunity to make someone’s dream come true! Although the couplewhose lives you touch will never forget your generosity, our program is anonymous so your privacy will be protected.

If you are interested in being an egg donor, please give us a call at 303-321-7115 or toll free at 1-888-817-0124. You can also email us at info@coloradofertility.com. You
must be 21 to 32 years old, a non-smoker, in good health, and have no history of drug abuse. If you are selected, we will teach you how to give injections with a small needle that goes just under the skin to stimulate your ovaries in order to harvest eggs. You will be monitored with blood tests and ultrasounds of the ovaries every one to three days for approximately 1˝ weeks. The eggs will then be harvested via a needle that through the vagina and into the ovary. You will receive “twilight sleep” anesthesia for that procedure. This does involve a commitment in complying with medication and being prompt for appointments over a 2 week period. Compensation will be given for your time and effort.

Acupuncture Denver

All cohabiting couples who have never had pregnancies for more than two years without contraception are known as infertility. Among them, those who have never had pregnancies are known as primary infertility, those who had ever had childbirths or abortions are known as secondary infertility.

The causes of infertility include the husband factors (sexual dysfunction, abnormal sperm, etc.), but mostly the woman factors, such as ovulation disorder and the disorders of fallopian tube, uterus, cervix and other factors. The acupuncture treatment mostly works on the ovulation disorder.

The acupuncture treatment can promote the ovulation to achieve pregnancy. It has been proven to increase success rates of IVF (in vitro fertilization) by nearly twenty
percent when administered in a German study in 2002. Of course, Chinese doctors have known of the benefits of TCM in the treatment of infertility long before it was ever studied in the West, with the first known publications on infertility appearing several hundred years ago. Due to recent studies, we now know that acupuncture
affects the pituitary gland and acts on the sympathetic nervous system to reduce stress and regulate hormones. In the treatment of infertility, it has also been shown to increase blood flow to the uterus.

surrogacy agency

In Vitro Fertilization is more commonly known as "test tube baby" and has helped couples that are infertile, conceive and bear children. Today this process actually occurs in a dish and not a test tube. The In Vitro Fertilization procedure is a four-step process. First, the patient or egg donor will take medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. Step two involves retrieving the eggs from the ovary. Once the eggs have been retrieved, the third step is the fertilization of the eggs and culture of the embryos in the IVF Laboratory. Once the eggs are appropriately fertilized, the fourth and final step occurs. This step involves placing the embryos into the uterus of the surrogate for implantation (embryo transfer or ET).

Creative Conception, Inc. exclusively offers gestational surrogacy. This type of surrogacy allows the surrogate to carry the child without any biological connection. Creative Conception, Inc. does not use the eggs of the surrogate mother. Medication typically used in an IVF Surrogacy Procedure:

Lupron is given subcutaneously just under the skin. It can be given in the upper outer thigh, lower stomach, or upper outer arm. The needles used are very tiny, similar to
insulin needles. Lupron down regulates your cycle so that you do not ovulate. It is administered for 14-21 days. Side effects can include but are not limited to: hot flashes, fatigue, and headaches.

Estrogen is the hormone we produce mainly in our ovaries. This medication works to thicken the lining of the uterus. This hormone can be taken in one of three forms: oral tablets, injection, or adhesive patch. This is taken for approximately 3-8 weeks. Side effects can include but are not limited to: weight gain and headaches.

Progesterone is a hormone we produce in our ovaries that is essential during pregnancy. This medication is used to support the pregnancy. There are four ways
progesterone can be administered, an injection of oil into the hip, vaginal suppositories, vaginal gel, or capsules taken orally. This is taken for approximately 2-7 weeks. Side effects can include but are not limited to: breast tenderness and mild uterine cramping.

If you are coming in for in-vitro preparation, one study recommends treatment twice a week for four weeks up to the day of the transfer, in order to increase the flow of blood to the uterus.

Another study showed that for patients who received acupuncture treatment immediately before and after the in-vitro procedure, clinical pregnancies were documented in 42.5% of the patients in the acupuncture group, whereas pregnancy rate was only 26.3% in the control group.

Acupuncture treatments should be done on a regular basis throughout your cycle. You can expect a limited effect by receiving acupuncture only around ovulation time. Compared to many of the fertility drugs which provide a powerful effect for a short duration, the immediate effect of acupuncture treatment is, in general, very subtle. The cumulative effect from regular acupuncture treatments, however, can produce significant long lasting benefits.

The treatments are often slightly modified in order to induce more specific effects depending on the time of the cycle. For example, one specific acupuncture protocol may be used after ovulation to maintain a low stress level and to support embryo implantation. Another protocol may be used before ovulation to promote timely ovulation and proper development of the follicle and egg.
