BocaFertility IVF Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
So you have tried “conventional” therapy for some time and have not been
successful. You may have been treated with fertility drugs, undergone
artificial insemination, or you may have had laparoscopy to treat scar tissue
or endometriosis. For one reason or another the egg and sperm are just not
able to “meet “or implant in the uterus. The problem may be traced to tubal
function, pelvic adhesions or scar tissue preventing release of the egg from
the ovary. It is also possible that the sperm cannot get into the egg either
because of low sperm number or structure or thickened egg shell. What can be
done now? .

A new manual physical therapy (Wurn Technique®, patent pending) was shown to
increase in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates to 67% when used prior to
IVF transfer. Published medical studies also showed a significant increase in
IVF pregnancies for older women and those with multiple prior failed IVF
attempts. In a recent study, women who had not become pregnant in two or more
prior IVF attempts achieved a 71% pregnancy rate and 57% live birth rate with
their first IVF after receiving this therapy.

IVF-ET is probably the most well known of the "Assisted Reproductive
Technologies". It is otherwise known as "test tube baby", and has helped
infertile couples conceive and bear children for over two decades. These days,
fertilization actually occurs in a dish, and not a test tube. It was
originally developed to help couples overcome tubal factor infertility, but
has become useful in treating other factors, such as immunological problems,
unexplained infertility, and male factor infertility.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) provides an alternative method of achieving a
pregnancy for couples who have tried and have been unsuccessful with other
fertility treatments. In many cases, it is the therapy of first choice. In a
normal conception cycle, an egg is released from the ovary and unites with a
sperm cell that has traveled through the uterus and fallopian tubes after being
deposited in the vagina during intercourse. When the sperm penetrates the egg,
fertilization occurs. The fertilized egg develops further as it moves through
the tube into the uterus. Implantation does not occur until several days after
fertilization.

It is important to remember that age alone is not the only factor influencing
IVF success. Factors including ovarian reserve, baseline FSH level, prior
ovarian surgery, moderate to severe endometriosis, multiple unsuccessful
previous cycles, uterine abnormalities (such as congenital abnormalities or
myomas), tubal factors (such as hydrosalpinx), and genetic factors all will
influence how successful a procedure may be.
